Jim Pflaging is the managing partner at Cynergy Partners a cyber advisory firm focused on helping clients accelerate growth, create compelling exits, and better respond to board-level cyber governance needs.  Through over 50 engagements, his firm has a proven track record of translating cybersecurity and related technology, policy, and market dynamics into competitive advantage.

Jim has over 30 years of Silicon Valley experience including 15 years as CEO of cybersecurity and data management companies. He’s served as an independent board director at 15+ technology companies including Coalfire, ConnectWise, Cyderes, Imperva, SailPoint, Secure Code Warrior, Sophos, and Veracode.  He’s chaired board cyber and risk committees at several firms and advised dozens of CISOs on board-level risk programs.  He earned his Bachelor of Commerce with dual concentrations in Finance and Marketing from the University of Virginia.
