John Ayers

John Ayers is a Field CTO and cybersecurity executive with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations align cybersecurity strategy, technology, and operations with business outcomes. His background spans executive technology leadership, cybersecurity, consulting, professional services, managed security, and infrastructure, giving him a unique perspective that combines technical depth with business and operational leadership.

Throughout his career, Ayers has led global organizations of up to 100 professionals, held P&L responsibility for businesses of up to $150 million, and worked with some of the world’s largest Fortune 10 organizations. Most recently, he built a Professional Services and Consulting practice from the ground up, scaling gross profit from approximately $240,000 to nearly $6 million in six months.

Prior to his Field CTO role, Ayers served in Senior Vice President leadership positions across Consulting and Professional Services, with responsibility for global operations, end-to-end customer experience, service transition, operational readiness, and continuous improvement. His cybersecurity experience spans security operations, SIEM/SOAR, threat intelligence, strategy, risk and compliance, cloud security, network security, and managed security services.

Ayers has also served in CISO and executive advisory capacities for Fortune 500 organizations, partnering with executives and technology leaders to address cyber risk, security transformation, operational resilience, and complex technology initiatives. His technology experience includes leading solutions involving Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco, Splunk, Google, and Microsoft.
